Cloud Platform for Industrial IoT Design & Management System
An industrial systems integrator was spending excessive engineering time on manual work - drawing network topology diagrams by hand, configuring controllers in vendor-specific desktop tools, and traveling to physical sites for routine firmware updates and diagnostics. In industrial facilities such as factories, logistics centers, and commercial buildings, hundreds of PLCs and microcontrollers manage HVAC, lighting, process control, and safety systems, yet designing these networks, configuring controllers, and maintaining operations depended on on-site engineers and fragmented, non-interoperable vendor tools. As a result, commissioning a new site routinely took 3–4 weeks of manual engineering effort.
Solution
We built a cloud-based web application to solve the challenge of designing and operating industrial control networks across multiple protocols and distributed sites. The solution pairs a visual topology editor with multi-protocol controller configuration and a mobile tablet app for real-time, on-site monitoring and management during operations. It supports PLC and controller networks across OPC-UA, MQTT/Sparkplug, and Modbus, unifying device orchestration under a single cloud console and streamlining network design, deployment, and day-to-day control.

Key Features
Visual Controllers Topology Designer
Drag-and-drop web editor to design control networks by placing controllers, defining communication links, setting connection protocols, and grouping by zone or building level, helping building automation teams plan networks faster, reduce documentation errors, and streamline handoff to installers or facility managers. Generates automated as-built documentation exports.
Unified Controller Console
Manage, program, and update controllers remotely from a central cloud interface to maximize uptime and simplify deployment. Deliver firmware updates, parameter changes, and logic modifications with secure audit logging and rollback capabilities.
Multi-Protocol Industrial Standards Support
Native integration for OPC-UA and MQTT, including Sparkplug B, with a built-in Modbus TCP/RTU gateway layer for legacy PLCs and sensors. Meets Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) requirements.
Alarm & Event Management
Configurable alarm rules for every controller and zone, with multi-tier escalation workflows that notify the on-site tablet first, then the engineer by phone, and finally the supervisor by email. Complete alarm history and resolution tracking are included.
Visual Simulation
Interactive, real-time visualization of control infrastructure with animated SVG components that helps operators monitor signal flows, valve and damper movements, and asset statuses, while safely testing operational scenarios.
Procurement & Estimator
Automatically generates a Bill of Materials (BOM) for project assembly, with real-time component pricing and live inventory visibility to deliver instant client cost estimates and accurate procurement lists for installation teams.
The platform transformed fragmented, manual industrial setups into a streamlined, enterprise-grade IIoT automation system. By unifying visual network topology design, multi-protocol controller management, automated BOM generation, and real-time tablet HMI monitoring, it closed the gap between IT and OT and cut deployment timelines from weeks to days while eliminating inventory guesswork and accelerating operational execution.
